Arastradero Preserve

Today was a very hot day, up to 95F. We stopped in the shade at the lake, and there were two woodpeckers searching for food and feeding their youngsters in the tree. I think that these are Acorn Woodpeckers.

If you look closer, you can see an insect in his beak.
